Surveillance Video Shows Woman Robbing Army Veteran/EMT — While He Has a Seizure
Dustin Malone has spent his entire career helping people. He has served as a Medic for the U.S. Army National Guard, spent time as an EMT in New York, and is currently a certified nursing assistant in West Jordan, Utah.
On October 4th, Malone was shopping at a 7-Eleven in Midvale when he began experiencing "tunnel vision and the normal 'aura.'" Malone suffers from epilepsy and he was having a seizure at that very moment.
What happened next is unthinkable:
An unidentified woman can be seen hunched over Malone, his feet just visible in the bottom of the surveillance video.
At first, it looks like a Good Samaritan has come to the veteran's aid. In reality, the pudgy female was robbing him.
The footage clearly shows the despicable thief rifling through Malone's wallet as he continues seizing, then departs without helping him. When Malone regained consciousness, he found his credit card and ID card missing.
It's entirely possible, of course, that the woman was poor and destitute. Perhaps she needed the credit card to buy groceries or other essentials. Not even close.
The following day, Malone received a text alert on his cell phone. The thief had gone on a shopping spree, buying up $130 worth of merchandise from Hollister.
There is no room in society for disgusting animals like this woman. There is no excuse for her actions. While the woman remains unidentified at this time, Unified Police are asking the public for help. In a state where robbery is considered a second degree felony, we only hope that justice is served on behalf of victims like Malone.
Stay alert. Stay alive.
