Insanity: New York Transit System BANS "Gender-Specific" Pronouns
In yet another determined move to destroy any semblance of reason we have left, New York city's transit workers have been banned from using gender-specific pronouns, including "ladies and gentlemen."
This is where we've arrived -- a period in which words like "sir" and "madam" are offensive and should be avoided on the off chance the person you're addressing happens to be part of the 0.3% of the population that actually identifies as transgender.
If this keeps up, soon even words like "everyone" will be off-limits, in order to accommodate those that identify as "otherkin," a term that essentially means 'human that's delusional on what his or her own species actually is.'
If you're otherkin and identify as, say, a dragon or fox, the proper term for you would be 'it.' Would it be considered offensive if you accidentally referred to a human as 'it'? Do humans even matter anymore?
Oh, the world we live in.
Stay alert. Stay alive.
