Unarmed Civilian Uses His Car to Stop Active Shooter

After 29-year-old Travis J. Green got into a dispute over an employment application at a Dollar General store in Buffalo, NY, he left and returned with a plan — to shoot at people inside.

Green armed himself with two AR-15 rifles, over 800 rounds of ammunition and strapped on a bulletproof vest. He planted himself in front of the store and began to fire.

Across the street, two vigilant civilians witnessed what was happening. What they did next is nothing short of extraordinary.

From WGRZ:

Social media reports detail Green's disturbing views, as he previously filmed himself wearing a full-faced mask and posing with various guns while talking about a 'Purge,' based on the 2013 movie in which all crime — including murder — is legal once a year.

No doubt Green counted on his victims being unable to defend themselves against his attack, thanks to Buffalo's draconian gun-control policies.

From WKBW:

Cheektowaga Police Chief David Zack credits “civilian heroes” with jumping into a chaotic situation and saving lives.

”I can also now confirm we did have a couple civilian heroes yesterday who played a crucial role in stopping the attack and assisting in the apprehension,” said Zack. “I hope to meet with these brave citizens later today and thank them for their actions. There’s no questions these individuals saved lives yesterday. They are heroes.”

Green has been arraigned on five felony charges, including attempted murder. A 53-year-old man who was hit by gunfire during Green's attack was treated and released.

Stay alert. Stay alive.
