National Poll Finds Majority of Voters Misinformed, Especially Democrats
Voting is one of the most sacred duties an American can carry out. Regardless of things like color, creed, background or net worth, every U.S. citizen has the ability to effect change through their country simply by casting their ballots.
We have the ability to grow or destroy America through our votes, yet this awesome power is sadly treated as trivial by far too many.
A new national study from the Conquest Communications Group reveals a disturbing, yet unsurprising truth: The majority of voters are alarmingly misinformed, particularly Democrats.
So what exactly did the results show us? Does it align with the leftist notion that Republicans are nothing more than misinformed rednecks compared to scientific fact-loving Democrats?
Although both Democrats and Republicans did horribly overall when it came to knowledge of the issues (answering correctly only 38% of the time), the study found that the group that did worse overall were those that voted Democrat.
While 47% of Republicans were knowledgeable about U.S. issues, only 31% of Democrats had their facts straight.
Among the results, one of the less-surprising results were the responses to the question "Relative to the rates at which people of different races commit murder, are police more likely to use deadly force against African Americans than other races?" While 71% of Republicans answered "no" correctly, only 13% of Democrat voters got it right.
