Democrats Praise New Laws to Combat Human Trafficking in Latest Display of Hypocrisy
It's not hard for even a half-wit to recognize the evils of modern-day slavery. Since last year, the U.S. has fought against a 37.5% increase across the nation. Regardless of political leaning, it's hard to imagine anything less than wide-spread support for laws that would effectively combat the issue.
This week, the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives passed three new bills that would reauthorize $520 million in funding over a span of four years. The funds are intended to be used specifically to prevent trafficking, protect victims and of course, capture and prosecute the scum responsible. From The Blaze:
The bills, unsurprisingly, garnered the approval of Democratic leaders. Despite this, there are many issues still plaguing the country that are either ignored or inherently supported by those on the democratic left.
For one, democrats refuse to denounce and even recently voted against the banning of Sharia Law in the U.S., a system that oppresses women and violates basic human rights. Democrats during Obama's term voted in support of gun control, higher taxes, increased entitlement spending, but were largely silent on human traffic until recently. Could it be that democratic approval across the nation is dwindling?
