Teens Charged for Filming, Mocking Disabled Man While He Slowly Drowned
In order for the leftist machine to continue demonizing conservatives and Republicans as cold-hearted racist bigots, they must selectively ignore incidents that don't fit their hypocritical narratives.
On July 7, Florida resident Jamel Dunn fell into a pond and, struggling to stay afloat, began screaming for help. According to reports, Dunn was disabled.
A group of teens happened to see Dunn in the water. Florida Today describes what happened next:
Although sources originally indicated that the teens would not be charged for their failure to act, reports released last Friday now tell us that Cocoa Police will indeed be pressing charges.
Jamal Dunn was no angel. By all accounts he was a suspected gang member with a violent criminal history. Still, he did not deserve to be allowed to drown to death, certainly not for the entertainment of sociopathic teens.
There is only one adequate solution to occurrences like these— we must instruct our children in the ways of decency and morality. This is greatly preferable to passing laws dictating a citizen's obligations to society, since governments can't get anything right.
In light of the tragic nature of Dunn's death, his identity as a black man should have attracted the ire of groups like Black Lives Matter, except for one snag: the teens that allowed him to drown were likely not white. The racial narrative of the left must be preserved at all costs.
Allowing or encouraging someone to die is apparently no better than murder, yet Jamel Dunn will not be joining the ranks of Freddie Gray, Michael Brown or any of the other black criminals that were killed at the hands of non-blacks.
The day that being a decent person takes a back seat to demonizing the "correct" groups is the day this nation's future is doomed.
Stay alert. Stay alive.
