Two Charged in San Francisco for Slaying of 71-Year-Old Man

While leftists continue protesting across the country on behalf of so-called 'social justice,' it seems that the narrative is more important to them than the actual issues.

Case in point, here's a story you won't see in the national media anytime soon.

From KRON4:

SAN FRANCISCO - On Monday, police announced they had made arrests in connection with the murder of the 71-year-old man that happened last month during a robbery.

Police arrested 20-year-old Fantasy Decuir and 19-year-old Lamonte Mims.

The district attorney says based on video evidence, Decuir is the one who pulled the trigger. The DA also says Mims took the man’s belongings.

In court on Tuesday, Mims was the only one to appear. No cameras were allowed in the courtroom.

Decuir did not appear in court. She is in the hospital but will be arraigned on Friday.

Her attorney is public defender Jeff Adachi.

Bail has been set at $5 million for each but prosecutors argued for $10 million.

Edward French was taking photographs at the popular lookout spot on the morning of July 16 when a pair of camera thieves shot him.

The man arrested has been identified as Mims, of Patterson.
Mims is also expected to be arraigned on Friday.

A jogger heard the gunshot at around 7:56 a.m. and found French lying on the ground. The jogger administered CPR to the victim until police arrived.

French was shot in his upper body.

The suspects ran into a car, a dark gray Honda Accord with rear-end damage, and sped away, police said.

French was taken to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

French's death was entirely preventable and can be chalked up to leftist policies in action.

ABC7 tells us more:

In July 2016, Mims had been convicted of a burglary in San Mateo. While on felony probation, he was arrested on July 7 of this year for possessing a firearm. On July 11 he was arraigned in court, but released by a judge while waiting for his next hearing. Five days later, on July 16, police say both Mims and Decuir committed the crime.

”The final arbiter and decider of custodial status is the judge,” said Bastian.

The judge released Mims based on a recommendation from the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project, which made a risk assessment of Mims and found him to be a mid-level risk. It’s a way to avoid overcrowding our jails. The family says Mims should have never been allowed to go free.

Your gun control doesn't work, San Francisco. Your coddling of criminals doesn't work, San Francisco. While you vote in favor of your feelings, thugs will continue to be released from prison and felons will continue carrying their guns. This is what you wanted, and Edward French paid the price.

Edward French contributed more to society than the two animals that killed him ever will.

Since French was a white male, his death places him lower on the left's victim hierarchy. Mims and Decuir will be allowed to stay out of national media coverage because the left can never admit their laws and policies have severely compromised civilized society. The narrative of racist whites killing blacks must be preserved, even at the cost of innocent people.

Stay alert. Stay alive.
