New California Law Literally Criminalizes Free Speech and Encourages Mental Illness
California is a magical place where boys can become girls, girls can become boys, and heck, if you don't wanna be human, that's okay too. Reality takes a back seat and Democrats are more than happy to shovel their delusional views down other people's throats using government force.
California's latest bid at criminalizing free speech comes in the form of SB-219, which threatens a $1,000 fine and up to a year in prison for anyone that “willfully and repeatedly” refuses “to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns” in nursing homes.
While the Senate Bill is limited to just nursing homes and intermediary care centers for now, it opens the floodgates for a slew of laws encompassing every area of life. This is a direct attack on freedom of speech, an assault on those suffering from gender dysphoria, as they will not get the help they need.
The bill was written by loonbag Senator Scott Wiener, who apparently isn't happy with attacking just freedom of speech. In a statement, Senator Wiener declared that religious views don’t hold weight in public areas.
Uh, what? Did something happen to that little First Amendment thing that forbids making laws "respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech"?
This is leftist insanity in its finest form, government fascism at work. When Antifa goes tearing through streets burning property and attacking others, it's under the guise of the First Amendment. When it comes to calling a man in a dress a man, suddenly the First Amendment no longer applies.
Greg Burt of the California Family Council testified before the Judiciary Committee last month:
Under SB-219, "repeat" offenders could face an increased fine of $2,500 and additional prison time up to one year.
And so it begins: the bill was passed by the State Senate 26-12 in May and (despite Burt's testimony) recommended unanimously by the Assembly Judiciary committee.
Stay alert. Stay alive.
