Armed Robbers Arrested After Targeting Bar... Filled With Cops.
The old adage "Bad guys with guns are stopped by good guys with guns" has never rung truer.
In Woodland, Maryland, Joseph McInnis III, 21, and 22-year-old Tyree McCoy decided to try their luck and rob a local pub. The odds were overwhelmingly in their favor as they charged into Monaghan's Pub around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, holding an employee at gunpoint. After all, Maryland is home to some of the strictest gun-control laws in the nation — the chances of them being stopped were slim to none.
Luckily (or rather, unluckily for McInnis and McCoy), Monaghan's Pub just happened to be hosting a retirement party for a police officer and the bar was packed with off-duty cops.
Thankfully, no one innocent was injured during the armed robbery and the criminal duo was stopped by the off-duty (and presumably armed) police officers shortly after fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both were booked into Baltimore County Detention Center, where they are being held without bond on charges of armed robbery and possession of a hand-gun.
Gun laws did nothing to prevent McInnis and McCoy from terrorizing a local business. It was thanks to good guys with guns that these bad guys with guns were stopped.
When will the nation wake up and smell the roses?
Stay alert. Stay alive.
